Above is a screenshot of the Idea Board for my mother-in-law. Don’t worry – the screenshot is old enough that I’m not ruining any surprises. I wanted to show you a great example of Giftovus in action.
In the screenshot, you can see a bunch of Ideas in various states: a few are Ideas that are purely ideas and don’t have a product associated with them yet (biking gear), a few have products linked to them that we are considering (workout bag), a few contain gifts we’ve given (the French Press).
It’s the “French press” Idea in the top right corner that I want to focus on for a second and tell you the story behind it. If you clicked on that Idea, you’d see all the details for the Idea like so:
Take a look around. What happened with this Idea is the epitome of what Giftovus does well.
My wife’s sister, Amanda, had the original idea (see the details on the left) for the French press.
As it happened, I had recently bought a French press for someone else. I posted several products that I thought would fit the Idea and satisfy my mother-in-law’s taste.
You can see in the comment section that the three of us, Jessica, Amanda and myself, had a conversation about which item to get. After Jessica said she was going to buy it, her sister picked up some amazing coffee from Seattle to pair with it.
As we like to say, when you give a gift with a little help from friends, its a “Gift of us”.
